Holland, living with his family at Cicalla, came to the city Thurs day bringing Isaac Fleming, a laborer who had been In his employ for some time, and had him locked up in the county jail charged with bh attempted assault upon his (Holland's) daughter, Miss Georgia Holland, who is well known aud respected in this city. The dastardly deed is said to have been attempted Wednesday night, when Fleming entered the girl’s room while she lay asleep. She was aroused by the vil lain’s touch and-screamed for help, which frightened him away, and he attempted to regain his room upstairs, but was appre hended by Mr. Holland, and with the aid of another hand he was tied with a rope and brought to jail.
