ITominent and Respected Citizen Dies Saturday Morning after eighteen Days Illness of Typhoid I-ever. Mr. Louis B. Jones, a prominent merchant and respected and highly esteemed citizen of Madison, passed to ids eternal reward last Saturday morning, at Ids home in that city, the grim reaper’s tinal summons com ing at '> o’clock that morning. Tire news of Ids death caused a deep feel ing of sadness to spread over tins community, where Mr. Jones was well known, as he was, indeed, throughout the whole county and the surround ing country Mr Jones had been ill for about eighteen day-, having been stricken down with an attack of typhoid fever, and though all that the best of med ical skill, aided by tlie nursing of kindly.l ring hands of the family and friends, could do was done their lov ing ministrations proved all f no avail, and the gentle, kindly spirit of Louis B Jones winged its way to another vvt rid Mr Jones was boru in Hardeman county. Hobinsin, of Madison, and Mr. Fred Shreeve, of Linden Island. Louis Jones was our friend. We bad known him for many years, lie was a patron of The Times, and was as prompt to pay Lis subscription as lie was his most sacred obligations.
