Sir, Conceiving it to be my duty not to conceal from the public the virtues of i vour most valuable Columbian On, from Wiiich I received so much benefit, I lam therefore induced, from a princi ple of gratitude for my recovery, to give a short statement oi the complaint under which I suffered. 1 was first seized in the right Hip with a mAst in tolerable pain, which seemed exactly in the joint, and on the day following a dreadful pan in the back, which last cd about three weeks; during which time l could not walk upright, but al ways in a bent posture ; and il seated in a chair* the pain would be so excruciat ing in the act of raising tbat.it was im possible for me to refrain from scream ing. My appetite had entirely left me ,nd a constant headache, would some times almost deprive me of my senses ; in fact 1 was in a mod deplorable con dition. A number of remedies were tried, but to no purpose, I had also the id vice of an eminent physician, who prescribed a hot bath, See. which were regularly attended to, but without the smallest advantage I had about 9 ounces of blood taken from me. stii» the complaint, did not give way in the 'east degree. I was then aavised to try Paul’s Coiu nbian Oil but with very little hopes of succeeding ; tnen »o my great surprize 8c comfort, I was sensible of some ease til my hip on tin first time of anointing; the next day the pain in my back aoated. the head ache left me, and in four days I was perfectly recovered APALONIA WALTER.
