bad led the mure aealous friends of the so
ciety to apprehend that the war spirit was
absorbing the iutareat and distracting the
attentionof the members from the oljectof
tbe society.
It was tboagbt necessary in order fa ar
rent tbe attention of ' the Legiigeot mem
ben, to so amend article third of the con-,
etitution that it read:
