There are 1 out-croppings of lignite at various! points in Holmes county, and the test, j if successful, will doubtless open anew and profitable industry for Holmes county, and result in a general en hancernent of land values. There have been many large sized sweet potatoes raised this year, but Paul Stein is doubtless the champion raiser in this line. He had a patch on which nearly every potato weighed from 4 to 5 pounds.
