What Tournament Bound
Shooters Should Know
Farrell, Pa. This city near
the Penna-Ohio line is girding
itself for the 11th Annual CFU
Basketball Tournament to hold
sway over the April 2-3-4, 1954,
weekend. Sponsors of the tour
nament and anxious to do your
bidding will be Lodges 126 and
705 and Nests 190 and 635.
As in 1950 the tournament
play will take place at the Elks'
Gymnasium, only a block re
moved from the Croatian Home,
412—414 Staunton Street, in
Farrell, which will serve as the
tournament headquarters. The
Croatian Home, well known to
anyone who has ever been in
Farrell, will also be the scene of
social events, dancing Friday
and Saturday, April 2 and 3,
and the Victory Banquet and
Dance, Sunday evening, as the
grand finale.
The tournament committee re
presenting the joined Lodges and
Nests is headed by John Pandža,
tournament chairman. Steve
Novosel is the secretary, with
Joseph Sever and Steve Kapsa,
the co-treasurers.
