Entertainment Committee Sick Benefit Department Secretary To Represent Home Office As Speaker At Four-County Festivities In Donora Charleroi Station WESA To Broadcast Hour Long Salute On Sunday, June 17th DONORA, Pa. The United CFU Lodges of Fayette, Greene, Washington and Westmore land Counties will hold their 2nd Annual "Croa tian Fraternal Union Day" at Palmer Park on Father's Day, Sunday, June 17. Palmer Park is located near Donora off Route 837, which runs between Donora and Monongahela. Signs throughout the areaf» will help guide motorists to the Park, one of the most popular outing sites in the area. Barbecuing of lamb and pork will begin at 10:00 AM and both delicacies will be a vailable for the dinner hour. Championship s o all games will get the big day under way at 11:00 AM when the Cokeburg Lodge 354 and Monessen Lodge 194 teams cross bats. The Clairton Lodge 248 and Youngstown, Ohio, Lodge 66 teams will "go at it" at 12:30 PM. The winners of the 11:00 AM and 12:30 PM battles will clash at 2:00 PM for the CFU Championship Trophy to be awarded the victors during the afternoon "CFU Day" Program. Absolutely no cars arc to be parked along the highway or in front of the Park. The Committee will not as sume responsibility for any cars parked along the road or in front of the grounds. We cannot stress this point too strongly. Committee In Readiness Long before the trek be gins to Arcadia Park Inn, Steve Vukonunich will be up and about preparing the bar becued lambs and pigs for the many hungry mouths. Bro. Vukonunich will begin his chores at 5:30 AM on Sunday, June 17. Others will also turn out bright and early to begin preparing for the crowd. These include Mrs. Walint, Chairman of the Food Committee John Gudlin, Chairman of the Bar Com mittee Mrs. Srok, who will o v e s e e s a e s o s o drinks and Mike Papa, who will handle tickets at the gate. Arrangements have also been made for vendors to cir culate throughout the Park and sell candy, pop corn, ice cream and other goodies so delightful to the children.
