Lighter Side Of Life After Canton Meeting CANTON, Ohio C.F.U. Lodge 514 will hold its last regular meeting of 1958 on Wednesday, December 10, at 7:00 p.m. After a short Intermis sion the yearly meeting will also be conducted. Several new ideas will be discussed and officers for the New Year will be elected. Following both meetings free refreshments will be served. We hope that all our mem bers will fulfill their obliga tion by attending. Harriet Bozurich, Rec. {Cleveland Lodge 403 'Shaping Party Agenda CLEVELAND, Ohio The regular and annual meetings of CFU Lodge 403 will be held on Sunday, December 14, at the Polish Falcons Hall, 7146 Broadway, at 1 p.m. During the yearly meeting we will hold an election of lodge officers and representa tives to the 1959 CFU Day Committee. Members are urged to fulfill their duty by attend ing both of these sessions. Refreshments will be served afterwards and the Nest 191 members will re ceive their gifts from Santa Claus. At the last regular meeting it was decided that we hold our January meeting on the third Sunday, January 18, at 2:00 p.m., instead of the reg ular second Sunday. This change will enable our members to attend the 13th Anniversary Celebration of the Croatian Radio Hour, which will be staged at the Slovene Hall, 6417 St. Clair on January 11. A gala Christmas Party is in the making for the members of Croatian Fraternal Union Nest 24. The event is scheduled for Saturday, December 13th, at St. Anthony's Church Hall, 714 Alpine St., from 1:30 to 4:00 p.m. Santa Claus will distri bute gifts to all who attend and there will be games, with prizes for the winners, carol singing, and refresh ments. Catherine Leppold, Sec'y. Calumet Members Will Be Feted December 7th CALUMET, Mich. The year 1958 is rapidly drawing to a close. Time marches on with such fast strides that we can hardly follow it. At tne beginning of the end of each year our lodges start preparing for their an nual meetings, which are so important to each and every member. So will our St. Joseph's Lodge hold its regular annual meeting and election of offi cers on Sunday, Dec. 7th, beginning at 2 P. M. in the hall of St. Joseph's Church on 8th Street. It should not be neces sary for me to again em phasize the importance of this meeting and the neces sity for a large attendance. It is the old custom for the majority to meet at the an nual meeting, greet each other and participate in the discussions for the good of the lodge and the C. F. U. It is also essential that we elect a set of good officers who will be at the helm of the lodge and steer it in the coming year. We all know how good the o a i a n a e n a U n i o n takes care of us it pays us dividends, extends aid to our old members, offers us sick and disability benefits, and e n e a y e o s e v e y duty one can expect from her. Is it not therefore also our duty to help in any way we can to increase our member ship and interest in the lodge and in the organization? As in the past, there will be a-lunch hour and enter tainment for all present im mediately after the meet ing. A fine lunch and re freshments will be prepared by the committee and a good time is assured all. We also do not want to forget our juniors and we ex tend our invitation to all members of our Junior Nest to come after the meeting and participate in the entertain ment with the adults. There will be plenty of sweets and soft drinks for them, so they will not want for anything.
