Ohio This u to inform the entire mem bership of CFU Lodge 185 that the regular monthly meeting for February will be held on the third Sunday, February 15, instead of the regular second Sunday. The postponement was compulsory due to the fact that the CFU Training School will be held in Youngstown's Croatian Home on Saturday and Sunday, February 7 and 8, and all lodge officers are requested to attend. It would be pleasing and gratifying to see all our younger members, male and female, hi attendance at tills school which wiH be conducted by bro. Joseph Bella, CFU Supreme Secre tary, and bro. Michael Gm sha, Junior Order Director. These two Executive Board members will explain the dif ferent types of insurance that Tarn to page 8 for editorial, "Accent On Youth." the Croatian Fraternal Union has to offer our members also all other benefits that cannot be bought anywhere, but which we receive, free of charge, simply because we are members of the CFU. From these schools we hope to find a certain number of men and women who would be willing to act as our Field men. They would act as rep resentatives of the Croatian Fraternal Union among the non-members and explain to them and acquaint them with all the benefits that the CFU is giving its members. This plan of conducting schools and training inter ested people to become Fleldmen was adopted at tiie last convention in Phil adelphia and is now being carried oat as ordered by that body. At a joint meeting last week of the membership of Lodges 602 and 770, the administration of Junior Order Nest 223 was turned over to the members of the latter Lodge. The next step will be a meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 10, to elect a responsible person to serve as the Man ager of Nest 228. This meeting is to be held in Verona's Narodni Dom and start at 7:30 p.m. sharp. In the meantime, the un dersigned will accept Nest dues at the Club on Sunday or at his home, 1953 Outlook Drive, phone SYcamore 3 6569. All parents are respectfully requested to cooperate in bringing the dues of their youngsters up to date and are especially urged to attend the Feb. 10 meeting, which is the regular monthly February meeting date for the mem bers of Lodge 770. This Mass will be said for both the living and deceased members of our organization and we urge all, who are able, to attend and join us in pray er. The afternoon portion of this affair will begin at 6:00 p.m. with the serving of a de licious dinner consisting of Turkey and Ham with all the trimmings. Iron Range Groups To Hold Mardi Gras Fete Saturday, February 7 CHISHOLM, Minn. The Annual Mardi Gras Festival will take place on Saturday, February 7, at the Chisholm Moose Cltib, beginning at 9 p.m. This event will be sponsored by the CFU Kolo and Sports Club which consists of repre sentatives from the three Range CFU Lodges: 210 of Chisholm, 8 of Leetonia, and 240 of Hibbing. Music will be furnished by the Junior Echo Tam buritzans, directed by Tom Krmpotich. This group con sists of twelve junior mem bers from the advanced group of players who play a variety of music. Prises will be awarded for the best costumes and the re freshments committee in the persons of Mary Parucci, An toinette Radotich, Marko Se balj, and Mike Ognanovich, promises the best in the line of drinks and solid goodies.
