ing a legai ex imina'ion into the matter. Warrant* were
accord ugly issued for the arrest of the parties mention
ed. and thav were arraigned before tbe Mayor, on yes
terday. Alter bearing the case the Mayor dismissed it.
Tbe two girl* were Ann Maria Myers and Elisabeth Thom
as, both genteel in appearance, of mo<l s', demeanor io
court, and seemingly very sincere. Poverty and pernon
ml pulchritude combined are very provocative of iusull
when they tall to the lot of women—tbeir beauty cxcitiug

The subjects of Natural Philosophy and Chemistry are fully Il
lustrated by experiments, the apparatus belonging to the Institute
