Providence, 12. —A colli-ion occurred on the Worcester Railroad about r o'clock tliis morn iu f near the Boston junction between the regular morning train Irom this city to Worcester and an excursion train cominc down. Execution of Goens.—Goens, who was sentec * ced to be hung for the murder of hi? own daughter, was exocuted in Charlottesville Friday. We learn from the Advocate, that he acknowledged before his execution that he recollected whipping his daughter severely on the day upon which she died; but did not recollect having struck her with the pine knot which caused her death. He stated that he was drunk at the time of the murder, and had but an indistinct recollection of what he did; though he declared it was never his intention to have killed his daughter. He professed to be prepared to die, and he relied upon the Almighty arm to sustain hiin in the hour of trial. He met his fete firmly, bade his family farewell, warning them with his iaet breath, against the use of ardent spirits, which bud brought him to the gallows. The Advocate states that a large multitude of peo ple assembled to witness the event—among them, it regrets to say, some respectable looking females. The Fishery Question. —The Washington He. public's correspondent under date of Friday, says: "The Cabinet convened about 11 and continued in session until '.i o'clock to-day. STEREOSCOPE DAGLERREO- TYPES.—It may well be said "we live in an age of wonders:" discoveries upon discoveries follow each other so rapidly, and inventions succeed inventions so numerously thut "the march of intellect" in the fields of literature can scarcely keep pace with the strides of Improvement in science and the fine arts. We have scarcely become familiar with the electric lan guage of the telegraph—borne on its serial couriers from seaboard to frontier throughout our vast, intelli gent and bappy republic—or ceased admiring the magical beauty of the delicate and truthful Daguer reotypes, transfixed by the instantaneous concentra tion of the sun's rays ere we are again astonished by another and still superior invention, the Stereoscope. We have been led to make these remarks alter looking at a Stereoscopic likeness of a beautiful young lady, made doubly beautiful by the aid of thU hand maid to the arts, the Stereoscope. We must not for get to say that we saw all this at SIMONS', 151 Main street. au 4 DISCOVERY IN ART!—Some- VJ THING NEW AND BEAUTIFUL. — The "Flesh Tint," applied to the Daguerreotypes taken by JNO. After speaking of his negro boy, who had the Scro fula, one eye nearly gone, hard lump on side of his neck, health entirely deranged, &.C., he was entirely restored to sight and health by this Tincture. Persons, all weakness, after taking it, become ro bust. It counteracts the weakness of the female t ramie, which is the cause of barrenness. It will not be expected, that in cases of such a delicate nature, certificates should be published in the daily papers.— We know cases where families not biest with off spring, alter taking a few bottles ot this Tincture of Hampton's never hail cause of complaint. CHOLERA MORBUS, DIARRHCEA, DYSEN TERY, and all diseases of the Stomach and Bowels are cured by HAMPTON'S VEGETABLE TINC TURE. As a cure and preventive, it has been wou derfuliv successful.
