The waters are sulphur Rnd chalybeate, and a third
combining the properties of tha oiber two, which is
also used in the bsth boose. They cffer an asaem
blage of mild tonics and gentle alteratives, whose
beneficial effect has been signally shown in nume
roni instances, in which worn and debilitated frames
have been submitted to their itfluecce; and their effi
ciency, in the case of ladies and chiidreD, has been
more co&spicuousily '.narked.
The Huguenot Springs are in Powhatan county,
on the Railroad, about 17 miles above Richmond—
from which flics thev are aec»saib!e by the Rich
mond ai d Danville Railroad, which passes within six
