"The epot was seized at once, and before any
one knew what the place was to la* used tor,
the whole building was completed. So amid
palatial residence*, in one of the widest and

city, amid elegant churches and sumptuous

stone's oratory, and a very striking incident

wife's funeral. It has been ascertained by the
Select men of Auburn that Richardson pur
chased twenty grains of strychnine at a drag
store in Manchester on the day previous to
Ilealey's death. In fact, he admits the pur
chase, but says he bsastat it tor his niece. There
are oilier facts that give a suspicious look to
tbe transaction.
