Horton has returned after visiting Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Minneapolis. Miss Alice Pixley of Litchfield, Minn., is visiting her sister Mrs. Geo. H. White this week. H. A. Workman has been "under the weather" the past several days, and this week is quite ill. Donavan's original Tenneseeans will appear at the opera house, Tuesday evening, 28th inst. Mrs. M. J. Peiffer has been quite ill the past two months, but is now improving, we are glad to say. Secure your tickets at Workman's. The Tenneseeans will have a splen did house next Tuesday evening. John Johnston has returned from Ohio, having left Mrs. J. at her old home in Cleveland for a few weeks stay. Cornelius Schea has returned from Canada, where he spent the winter, and is booming things on the farm. Joseph HarfE has gone to St. Paul for his family, and will take a per manent position at John Kotsclie var's store. Home talent will present "Enlist ed for the War" at the opera house, Saturday evening. A great treat is looked for. Kertson & Courteau, the photo graphers, expect to leave for the Ortonville section of country, the first of May. Get your -tickets at once for the concert to be given by the original Tenneseeans Tuesday evening at the opera house. Fred Runkel is auditor of Sargent county, pursuant to the law author izing the appointment of such officer for that county. Work on the addition to the roller rink is temporarily delayed for the want of material, that is said to be on the road. John Ketschevar has anew sales man in the person of Paul Marke. Mr. K. is doing a good business, as he deserves to do. Go and hefar a style of entertain ment that is new and varied, at the opera house, Tuesday, April 28. Donavin's Original Tenneseeans sing. The Myrtle Ferns dramatic com pany will open at the opera house, Wednesday evening, of next week for four nights. See "ad" in another place. Freeman Orcutt has gone to the country with a full wagon load of trees and four bushels of tree seeds, which he proposes to place upon his farm. Thomas Cryan is again associated with M. O. Bickford in the tonsorial art, having put in a fine new chair, and the boys are doing a rushing business. Hinman & Marsh are papering their fine sample room, and in ap» pearance it will be second to none when finished. Prof. Peiffer is do ing the work. Chas. E. Hinman is building an addition to his residence property, Bass & Gardner doing the work, and on Arbor Day will set out a lot of fine shade trees. The Headquarters can truly boast of one of the finest bars in Dakota. It is not so large but its fine. Mr. Walter Carey recently of Fergus JTalls, is the gentlemanly attendant. Chas. M. Fisher has again return ed from Stillwater, Minnesota. Mr. Fisher is one of the wide awake young men of the northwest, and should again locate in this part of Dakota. It is rather pleasant to see T. S. Woodruff on the streets of Wahpe ton. He is improving a large farm near town, and will likely remain here more closely in the future than in the past. Hope so, /'o-: '-V "V Vol.7.
