Dan Holloway one of the oldest
residents of this county and who has
been at the Pioneers Home at Press-
cott the past two years is visiting in
Kingman He reports that there is
much adverse criticism of the manage
ment of the home on account of an
order requiring the old fellows to
work not less than twenty two hours
per week on the rock pile The
order is rather hard on men who have
been compelled to take refuge in this
place because they are too old to make
a living and it is not for any manage
ment to require them to work the
State making the place a home where
these pioneers may pass the evening
of their lies in peace and comfort
The State is paying the expense of the
institution and if any rock pile is to
be removed the State has the money
to pay the expense
