FINANCE AND TRADE. Financial. EXCHANGE REVIEW. New York, July 24.—The stock market to day showed a little animation in spots, but, as yesterday, attention was concentrated on sugar refineries, and the large dealings in that stock were sufficient to put transactions in the listed department up above those in the regular list. The forenoon's trading was marked by extreme dullness, but in the afternoon the market ad vanced slightly, which lasted well into the last hour. The market, however, closed barely steady, generally at small fractions better than opening figures. Governments strong. Petroleum opened weak at 89; nothing doing in spot. August moved up to 89%, reacted %, closing dull. MONEY QUOTATIONS. New York, July 24.—Money, on call, easy, 3\i®*H per cent. Prime mercantile paper, 5@6'4 per cent.
