FINANCE AND TRADE. Financial. BXCHANOB RKVIBW. N»w YOBK, June I.—The foreign situation was ag tin the only moving force in the stock market today, and it wai exerted in an unfavor able manner. There were rumors of a heavy attack to be made upon Union Pacific and other stocks, and the pressure to sell was unusually heavy during the first hour, with the result of forcing prices down rapidly. The market then remained dull and featureless until the last hour, when there was a renewal of the foreuoon attack. The close was fairly active and weak, at the lowest prices of the day.
