Fifteenth and H streets northwest, today cost the life of the Instructor. E. W. Wheeler, shortly after 8 o'clock this morning. George H. Borger. about fifty years old, of 30 Rhode lajand avenue north west, a new elevator operator, was in the car with Wheeler, and the car was on the first floor. According, to the story of Borger, he got the sig nal to go up from Wheeler, and started the car. Wheeler was looking out of the car Into the hall and a was caught be. tween the top of th'e entrance and the floor of the car and crushed to death. His body fell Into the eleva tor shaft. It will remain there until the coroner has Investigated. Wheeler was forty-five years old and lived at 1412 H street northwest.
