Government Institution established for the
treatment of soldiers, sailors, and marines
suffering from mental diseases incurred
in the service of their country At the
present time this hospital is caring for ap
proximately 3,800 patients and is perform
ing a very important service in the restor
ation of the Nation's disabled fighting
forces. Nature and Advantages of Em
ployment Offered: There are a large num
ber of vacancies In the Ward or Nursing
Service of the Hospital. Previous experi
ence Is not necessary All applicants ac
cepted for this service are given the op
portunity of enrolling in the Training
School for Nurses maintained by the Hos
pital. This school presents a two years
course in connection with the regular du
ties of the employee and is free of charge
to those desiring to enroll Successful
completion of the course entitles the stu
dent to a diploma. Salaries and Per
quisites: All employees of this service are
furnished free of charge their board, lodg
ing, laundry, and in case of sickness medi
cal attention for a reasonable period. The
salaries range from 332.60 to S82.50 p-r
month, the lower salary adjustments being
based on previous experience and the
higher positions being filled by promotion
from the ranks of those enrolled in the
Training School. Those whose services
prove satisfactory are promised a salary
Increase effective July 1. 1919. Require
ments: Applicants must be in sound phys
ical condition, should have reached not less
than their sixteenth birthday, and must be
citizens of the United States. Application
