Conn Tale University announces a new philanthropic foundation. It is des cribed as being 'of large significance. Prof. Max Farrand has been granted leave of absence from YaJft for the next year to undertake constructive work in connection with the -fund as general director. The fund was established in Nov ember, last, its objects being "the application to charitable or benevo lent purposes of the income, and if the corporation shall so determine, of the principal of such property as the corporation shall from time to time possess, including the glvirig of same to any charitable or benevolent corporation."
