THOUSANDS WISELY FORTIFYING THEIR WITH A TONIC THIS AUTUMN NEW YORK, Sept. 12. Mexican of ficials In London are much concerned over a proposed scheme of coloniza tion in their country by a British ex pedition at whose head is Brig. Gen. A. C. Critchley, of the royal air forces, and a Mexican named Del Bios,, both of whom arrived from New York on the last eastward trip of the Aqui lania, according to a dispatch to the New York World. The scheme has been conspicuously featured in the British press. It is said that General Critchley has been trying to set British officers -as well as nen from the ranks to join him. It was learned today by the World 'correspondent that the Mexican au thorities have asked Scotland Yard "to look into the affair. There have been applicants for enrollment in the ven ture. General Critchley promises to explain his plans next week to those "who wish to go with him. It Is said the party wil be equipped wjth air planes and arms. Del Dlos, on whose estate the colon ization is projected, is reported to be the son of one of the largest landown ers in Mexico. The story goes that psome time ago President Carranza confiscated 1,000 acres of the estate because it "had been undeveloped. In order to enter to Mexico legally the expedition 'must have Mexican vises, ahd American vises will also be required should the party wish to pass through the United States. The New York Sun correspondent hears that the American authorities have been closely watching developments.
