The national council of Flame had pretested against the food embargo, saying it would lead to starvation. STRIKE IN BRITAIN MAY CUT OFF BEER PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 4. If the railroad strike continues the supply of the workers' beer will begin to fall by the beginning of next week, says a copyrighted dispatch from London to the Philadelphia Public Ledger. Estimates are that the brewers will be compelled to reduce their output of mild ale by SO per cent. The secretary of the brewers' society confirms that there must be a consiaeraoie reaucuon. The brewers have only limited stock of coal, as well as raw ma terial. Mild ale will begin to di minish first, because It is brewed to day and sold tomorrow, as it will not keep.
