This is the first time the coveted prize has been award ed to a foreigner. His wort, which has won high praise from thousands of visitors and critics, is called *'Trialsn and jaoide,*' and is done entirely in Indiana limestone brought espe cially from the United Sts tea. The figures are more than life size, standing about seven feet high. , Mystic Strsseed Mr. O’Connor has stressed the mystic side of the old legend in Ms masterpiece and expresses great beauty in ths modeling of the two bodies. The work is destined to decorat' a private park in the Virinity of New York. This American artist, who is a native of Worcester, Maw., is well known on both sides ®f ths water.
