INDIANS KNEW CAPON WAT ER Capon Springs mineral water captured the blue ribbon award of merit over all domestic waters al the Mineola fair in 1931. It is claimed by many scientists and analysts to be far superior also to the famed Vichy water of France, and the Carlsbad water of Germany. But the virtues of this bene ficial water are not newly known. Capon Springs in West Virginia, was the scene of many a battle between the Indians before the coming of the white man, until finally they signed a truce among themselves, declaring the springs to be peace ground, and it was here that many tribes came to benefit from the miraculous wa ters which they named Ca-Ca- Pa-On—healing waters—and to smoke the pipe of peace.
