I M n DM SERVICES SET ST VETS’ HOSPITAL Dominating the outdoor sunrise service at Walter Reed Hospital on Easter Sunday morning at 7:30 o’clock,, will be the musical program expressing the noblest hopes and highest joys of the Christian world. A choir, with Lieut. Roger H Allbee, of the Medical Corps Re serve, U. S. Army, as director, will sing “The Hallelujah Chorus” from Handel’s “Messiah” and other selections appropriate to the day. A special feature of the musi cal program this year will be an anthem composed especially for the Walter Reed Easter service. This is the work of Major J. Vincent Falisi. of the Medical Corps, U. S. Army, and was com posed as a musical setting for the pageant. “Hosanna” by Granier will be sung by Major C. B. Randall, tenor. Major Kendall is on duty at Walter Reed Hospital and has been a member of the memorial chapel choir at Walter Reed from the dedication of the chapel last year. The United States Army Band will play. George Washington Bicentennial Church Services An 4io to the Celebration of the Bicentennial of George Washington; A United Appeal for the Faith in God, Prayer and Worship Which He Practiced. The proper celebration ot the Bicentennial cannot be fittingly observed without emphasizing the vital Element of Religion active in the daily life of the Father of his Country. The great man kept Faith with GOD, and found both need and time for Prayer, Worship and the Attainment of the Spiritual Virtues. Easter Ceremonies In D. C. Churches A special Easter program is to be given at the Columbia Heights Christian Church, start ing with a sunrise prayer meet ing at 7:30 o’clock, led by the Endeavor Societies. The Bible school will have special Easter services. At 11 o’clock Mr. Russell, guest soloist, will feature a special musical program. In the evening an Easter pageant “As Much For Others” directed by Mrs. R. C. Pollock, will be given. This will be preceded by a 15. minute Schumann recital by Miss Hull, organist, and Ronald Eicher, pianist. There will be impressive Easter services al the Rock Creek Episcopal Church with celebration of Holy Communion at 7:30, 8:30 and 11 o’clock. At 11 o’clock the rector, Dr. F. J. Bohanan, will preach. At 3:30 in tie afternoon the church school will hold a special Easter festival. Dr. H. H. Ranck preaches at Grace Reformed Church on Easter. The Holy Communion will be celebrated at both the morning and evening services. An Easter drama will be pre sented by the Sunday school in the morning. The annual con gregational meeting will be held on Thursday evening for the election of elders and deacons. Dr. Copenhaver will admin ister the rite of baptism before the morning service at Epworth Methodist Church South tomor row morning to those who are to enter the church. Special Easter music will be presented by the senior and junior choirs at the Sunday evening services, under the direction of Eber Riley. New members will be received into the Peck Memorial Church tomorrow evening and the Lord’s Supper will be observed. The Sunday school will render an Easter cantata in the morning under the direction of Herbert C. Tucker. Miss Minnie Moore, of Tennessee, will be the special speaker at the monthly meeting of the Women’s Missionary So ciety on Wednesday night. The drama. “The Story of Easter,” will feature the service tomorrow morning at the Mt. Pleasant Congregational Church. The early morning scene at the empty tomb will be reproduced, and there will be a processional of gifts, followed by a flower march of the kindergarten de partment. An Easter program will be given by the Bible school of the Concordia Church tomor row morning. The main Easter service of the Bible school will be held at 8 o’clock in the eve ning in the church auditorium. A service of story and song en titled “The Red of Dawn” will be given. Dr. Charles Enders, the pastor, will conduct the German service at 10:00 a. m. and the English service at 11:15 a. m. At st. Mark’s Episcopal Church tomorrow Holy Com munion. with special music, will be held at 6:30 and again at 8 o’clock. Each member will be presented with a copy of the New Testament in which his name and a special pas sage of scripture selected by him as a life text, will be in scribed. The closing session of the teachers training class, with final examinations, will be held on Tuesday night. A special luncheon will be served by the Ladies Aid Society on Wednes day noon.
