Miss Garden advises that if you do nothing more for your looks, relax com pletely for 15 minutes every day. Eva Le Gallienne finds in re laxation a “fountain of energy”, and has captured the art so com pletely that after a rehearsal, whenever she feels the need, she can flop down and get 10 minutes’ sleep. You don’t have to be an actress to benefit from relaxing. We know an office worker who makes a habit of lying down for a cat nap before dinner every evening. She is past 30, but she has a peaches and cream complexion that would do credit to a 16 year old! Tense, highly strung people couldn't go to sleep in the day time if they were paid for it, whereas the relaxed person takes a beauty nap and keeps the wrinkles away. It’s tension that makes wrinkles. The need of relaxation is now universally recognized, and there are rhythm classes for relaxation, beauty baths, massage and cor rective exercises—all of which teach you to relax. Among the books on the sub ject are “You Must Relax,” written by Jacobson for the average per son, and a more scientific treat ment. “Progressive Relaxation,” by the same author, and "Resi dual Neuromuscular Hyperten sion,” by Rathbone. Before you can completely re lax, you must have a normal amount of exercise. You cannot always relax when you are tired from sedentary w»rk. Approximately 100 homes are now being given two deliveries daily under the new plan, instead of the one delivery under the for mer rural classification, Mr. Lynch pointed out. Recommendations to Include this section in the city’s regular service were made by Postmaster Lynch following requests from virtually every home owner in the section. Shortly before the service was established here, the Belle Haven Citizens Association, composed of nearly every resident of the subdi vision, approved a resolution to apply for the regular city mail delivery.
