The Register, in noting the recent MacLean-Tyler presentation in Shep tierdstown. says: The hirst feature was a series of living pictures, in which Mr. Mac Lean repre sented magnificently Brutus, Macbeth, Marc Anthony and Richard III. Fol lowing these was a series of readings by Mr. MacLean; all from Shakespeare’s best plays, except ”lim,” by Brete Harte These readings were thrillingly effective, Mr. MacLean’s splendid stage presence and acceptable interpretation of the lines holding the fireathless attention of the audience. Miss Tyler and Mr. MacLean next ap peared in a tabloid version of the "Ta ming of the "Shrew," in which Richard Spohn assisted. This delightful come dy was most charmingly rendered. The performers were as clever as could be, and the process of taming gave opportu nity for a delightful development of their versatility. Miss Tyler was the center of attraction, and the beautiful gown that she wore added to the personal charm and her effective acting. They gave also the balcony scene from Romeo and Juliet which was most thoroughly enjoyed. This world-famous scene was flawless as interpreted by these two artists, and a sigh ot regret arose when it ended, for the audience had hung on every word 1 and every action.
