Oatlook Bright.
The oatlook is distinctly encour
aging for democratic sucoees in
the oongregsional campaign in
this diatriot this fall. Everywhere
there is revolt on the part of the
people against republican polioies
and republican candidates, aDd the
stalwart repoblicans themselves
are far from harmonious in varions
sections of the district. The demo
crats are united and they have in
Hon. Joseph S. Miller a candi
date who whonld fill the offioe with
dignity and ability, a man of ex
perience in pnblio affairs, and a
man whose wide acqaaintanoe and
popularity throughout the district
will draw to him the vote of the
independent thinkers and many
republicans who are displeased
with the present methods and the
present officers. The Democratic
ohanoes in the Fifth distriot

God in his wisdom has seen fit I
tc call from onr midst one of oor

Fenton Meadows, who passed from
this life Joly 28th, 1906, to the
realities of an unknown world.
He was a young man of excellent
