Hundred! of Wheeling's best people, both old and young, vers present, both aa spectators and skaters, and a large number were turned away at one time, the place being so filled that It would accommodate no more. Tho ukatora were charmed with tlie.floor. Many voted it superior to any they had ever Men on ana others compared it to the Island rink's rurface- In the course of a day or two, after it has been thoroughly worked, It will be much better than it was last night Those who rented the rink skates were charmed with them; they wore found in perfect order and to skate easily. The special attraction provided for the occasion was "The Midget*," Ethel and Edna Taber, of Providence, H. I., two cute little things aged 5 and 8 years. Their skating was loudly applauded and it deserved. the recognition it received. The oldest one did some really wonderful work for one of her years, and the little one was as cute as she could be. The management has made arrangements for them to appear at three more performances, to-night and to-morrew afternoon and night. Ono is not keeping pace with the craze unless they see these little people. The grand march was a monster affair. It was led by Mr. Irwin Singleton and Miss Laura Cooper, assisted by Mr. John ttiheldaffer ana Miss Katie Harden, of Steubenville. Fi/ty-fourcouples took part, and althoneh the floor was encroached on by the spectators they managed to get along without a break.
