It was not /nly the largest political demonstration, /but the largest parade of any description ever witnessed in the over-the-rlver /county. The Republican leaders had the co-ojM-Tution of all the citizens, and all worked jointly to gain that end. Some of the decorations were magnificent, and much taste was displayed In the arrangement of the national colors. Broadway and Fourth streets were lined with Hags and hunting, and the decorations in all parts of the city were elaborate.
