It started off with ten per cent, on a share, in a short time, raised to twenty per cent., aud on Friday even ing last jumped to fifty per cent. One week ago last Friday evening, six hun dred dollars sold at 361-10 per cent, premium, and last Friday evening six hundred dollars were sold at 27 per cent, premium. A few more shares can be had by calling upon Mr. Henry Mor gan. Prraonal. We take the following from the Fair mont VedtHe: "Dr. James E. Reeves, who is well kuown to all our citizens, removed to Wheeling on Thursday, where he will engage in the practice of his profession. Dr. Reeves has a na tional reputation as a medical writer, and, uulike many authors, he possesses practical skill and is attended with suc cess corresponding with his scientific knowledge. He has beeu a practitioner here upwards of seven years, and will be greatly missed by his patrons and personal friends. We congratulate the profession in Wheeling on the accession of Dr. Reeves t? their rauks." Trucker*' AuMialiH. The Teachers' Association of Wheel ing held their second meeting in the City Couucil room on Saturday, Novem ber 9th, at 10 o'clock A. M. The meeting was largely attended by the City Teachers. The session was mostly taken up in the discussion and adoption of a Constitution and by-laws for the Association. A motion to reconsider a resolution of the last meeting relating to Article Bth of the general rules adopted by the Board of Education, was lost. A petition signed by most of the teachers, asking the Board of Education to restore Article Sth of the general rules adopted by the Board of Educa tion slightly modified, was discussed as the substance of the petition which was embraced in the resolution to the same effect of the former meeting. The dis posal of the petition was left at the dis cretion of the Superintendent. At the request of the Association, Mr. Tuttle, of Union Schools, favored them with a recitation. On flFotion, the Association adjotirned to meet at the same time and place on the second Saturday of December. The regular meetings of the Associa tion are to be held en the uccond Satur day of each school month of the year. The obje?t of the Association is the discnssion of, and interchange of views, concerning all matters relating to the profession of teaching. Any teacher in the Bchool district of Wheeling may become an active mem ber of tho Association. The Board of Education are consider ed honorary members "by virtue of their office." Aud all teachers visiting the Association are for the time being considered honorary members of the Association. In Kciaorion I'fnccr, Tho object is to perform an entire, radical and permanent cure. This can not be done with the knife, nor neither can it with a red hot poker, nor with any of the ordinary caustics. These have been faithfully and perscveringly tried for centuries, always with the same result, without success. If a physician should succeed in removing cancerous diseases, by whatever process, the p# judiced and non progressives of the pro fession, as has been the case for ages, in all iinportaut discoveries, will say that " it was nothing but a tumor." Now the truth of tho matter is, there is no Hue of demarkation between cancers and what is called " iunoceut tumors." " All tumors,"* says the best sur gical authority, " may become con stitutional" and "may in a short time show 'signs of , malignancy. Consequently it i9 absurd and danger ous to form two classes of tumors when originating in tho same structures. To wait uutil the tumor ulcerates is a fearful experiment. Many a motherless family is the result of delay. The only safe advice that can be given for gen eral adoption in case of tumors is to have theui removed in the earlier stages or before the constitution becomes in fected. There has been hundreds of cas< s radically cured, duriug the last fifty years, in the Western States, by what is called the Reynolds process, which is now being used by Dr. Kisner, of this city. Many persons are now living te testify to tho truth of its bene ficial results. There is no doubting it. Physicians do not doubt it. See refer ences in Saturday's Rkoistkk and In- j telligencer. Write aud ascertain. "About four years ago," says Mrs. G. V. Coombs, of Easton, West Virginia, "I purchased a Willcox & Gibbs Sewing Machine. It has more than met my ex pectations. I havo done tho principal sewing for eighteen persons since that time, aud a great deal for my neighbors. It is itUcayn ready ? alwm/n in order. Have broken tiro needles in four years." Tabic I'inru*, Ilousc-furnishiug goods, at reiy low fujnreM, can bo had at J. 11. Smith & Co.'s. A Fit Tribute. Tlio very highest prize, tho Cross of the Legion of Honor, was coufcrred ou tho representative of the Grovcr & Baker Sewing Machine at tho Exposition Uni verselle, Paris, ist>7, thus attesting their great superiority over all other Sewing Machines. At Oxtoby & Duffleld's jew elry store, 103 Main street, a full supply of these machiues, and a new, nvatand attractive stock of gold and silver watches, clocks, jewelry, spectacles, sil ver-plated ware and lancy goods, can always ho seen.
