The case of the City vs. Zarnitz, an appeal from the Police Court was submitted to the court. The City. vs. Ernst Kleppner, selling ! liquor on Sunday, was dismissed. In the case of the City vs. Henkleman, Mo. 1, causing.tumult and disorder, judgment was set aside. In same vs. same, resisting an otbcer, judgment was affirmed? When they arrived at the place of disembarkation, the horse was put in charge of a young fellow, who was requested to hold the animal until the return of the owner. In the meantime to Tom Murphy, and by the way the handsomest man south of the creek, came , bi along and concluded be would take a ride. He compelled the man who bad the horse and buggy in charge to yield, and took charge of the affair ^ and started off. The limbs of the law returned shortly afterward, and found ' their conveyance gone. Officer Birch went in search and shortly afterward y found Murphy, big as life, seated in the p buggy and driving the animal at full j speed. Tom was stopped in bis enjoyable ^ career and Officer Birch arrested him, and j escorted his prisoner to the lock-up.
