One of the most pleasant occasions of the season was a Box Party given the night of .February 22nd by the Argonian Literary Society of Cold Spring School. ?Each member invited two persons, the boys Invited the girls ond visa versa. Each girl was requested to bring a box containing enough lunch for two. The boxes were sold to raise a fund for securing new books for the school library and for various other things in the schoolroom. lifter all guests arrived the boxes were auctioned ofl by Mr. Alvln Ellis. Since, a T party of this Kind.wassotnethlug new for oitir neighborhood, the boys, at first were a little slaw about buying, but evidently some got hungry belore all were sold, for several of the last ones brought fancy prices. The boys did not open their boxes until all were sold then ttiey were very eager to, lor the name of the owner as well as tne lunch was inside. Alter this discovery each boy found his partner and then came the pleasant part?the feast. Wheu all had Qnished supper many Interesting games were played. But about eleveD o'clock the happy party was beginning to think it would have to camp there for tb?? night, for outside there seemed an almost ceaseless downpour of rain. ? Luckily it ceased somewhat about midnight and all started for home. And I suppose all reached it safe and sound as 1 have never heard any inquiries for a lost person. A handsome sum was collected. C. ai D. "W. Morrab, T. P. A., ft Atlanta, Ga. J Jj igh Grade Fertilizers We wish to recommend to you the | e of our high grade fertilizer. Take | r instance our 8-4-4 goods. Eight r cent, phosphoric acid, 4 per cent, ammonia and 4 per cent, of potash, j Dere is nothing better and mighty j tie as good. It takes just as much j ne, trouble and labor to put in a eap low grade fertilizer as it does is 8-4-4 goods, and the results are! it to be compared. People who try continue its use. It is the cheapest sor you can get and in the end it is e cheapest fertilizer. Crops fertil;d with 8-4-4 goods take on a differt hue and a different color to the hers. And then, you get more stalk id more fruit aud that is what it kes to make the crop; stalk and iit, and this is the special advantage this .8-4-4 goods ; it makes stalk and jit. It costs more than the others it is worth much more than the Mere nee in tne cost, ir you uuui jl like going into it heavy at first, y some of it. If you use five tons of rtilizer get one ton of 8-4-4 goods at 9Bt. Next year you will use more id you will continue to use more un1 you are using this entirely. It is a mplete fertilizer and will pay you >tter than any you ever used. Some weeks ago we wrote the Agru iltural Department of Clem^on Colge for a formula for an ideal fertilizer r cotton suitable for soils in this secan. You know different soils require flerent fertilizers and we are trying > make a fertilizer that will suit the ils in this section where we expect sell our goods. They sent us a ferula which is practically identical ith this 8-4-4 goods as we make it. heir formula calls for Nitrogen but e use ammonia which is the same ling exceot in a different form. Amonia, you know, makes the stalk and uit and that is what you work to get i the crop stalk and fruit and amonia helps you to get it. In fact, you >n't expect much of a crop unless m have the stalk and the fruit. A eat deal depends on the way it is ixed and manipulated! The man bo got out this formula for mixing id manipulating our 8-4-4 goods cows his business and we are making specialty of this goods. We are willig to risk our reputation on the value r our 8-4-4 goods as a fertilizer. Another tbing about s-4-4 gooas hich you probably had not thought ' is this : You can't make it with a w grade acid and you can't make it ith a low grade blood and tankage ther. It requires the very best marial such as we have bought. That why it costs more than the ordinary rtilizer and that is why it is better so than the ordinary fertilizer as a lant food. It is made from the very ?st and choicest plant food. We ant you to try it for we know that it ill give you satisfactory results. If du have never tried it, try a little at rst. People who use it say you can't je too much of it but then you want i be cautious and at first we suggest tat you get one or two tons out of five ' the fertilizer you use and after that le demand will take care of itself, ry it and you will see what you have >en missing.
