Pat Roche's possums got out while he was "over in Geor-j gia," and trespassed on Walter Mc% Cord's chicken farm, with the result that Walter is now less a perfectly good load of shotgun ammunition and Col. Roche as less a possum.1 Walter said the possum looked like' V it had hadnothing to drink for some-! time except persimmon beer. The loss of the possum is a considerable "setback" to its former owner. # FAULKNER?WILKINSON Miss Catherine Allen Faulkne and Mr. Claude Pritchard Wilkinso were married Thursday afternoo at Due West at the home of Mr Margaret Kennedy, by Dr. E. I Kennedy, a\ former pastor of th bride. The Kennedy home, in antic pation of the event was made beai tiful with its decorations of ferr and chrysanthemums. Six couples c young people were invited to witnes the ceremony and to be present i the elaborate course dinner serve immediately afterwards. The wedding march was played b Miss Margaret Moore, niece of D: Kennedy. The ring ceremony wa used. The bride was becomingly a' tired in a taupe suit, with hat, shoe and gloves to match. Mrs. Laura .Faulkner, the mothe of the bride and Mr. Percy Leach, friencj of the groom, were the onl attendants at the ceremony froi Abbeville. The bride is the second daughte of Mrs. Laura Faulkner and of th late Alexander G. Faulkner. Sh graduated last June from the Abb< ville High School, being among th bright students in her class. For th last several months she has made he home in . Columbia where she ha been in a business schopl. Mr. Wi' kinson is a son of Mr. and Mrs. ? M. Wilkinson of Abbeville. He is a overseas veteran, one of the fiv brothers who gave their services t the country. He was severely gasse in action in France and since his r< I turn home has been recuperatin from his injuries.
