A customer, to whom I cun refer for any inquiries, desires me to let you know the particulars of her case. She had troubled for years with a disordered liver and bad digestion. On the last occasion, however, the virulence of the attack was so alarming, and the intiamation set in so severely. that doubts were entertained of her beii.g able to4>carup under it; fortunately she was induced to try your Pills, and she informs me that after the first and each succeeding dose, she had great rslicf. She continued to take them, and al though she used emy three boxes, she is now in the enjoyment of perfect health. 1 could haro sent you many more cases, but tlio above, from the se verity of the attack, and the speedv cure, 1 think, speaks much in favor of your astonishing Pills. Heydon, Esq., Sydney, New Soulh Wales,.dated Feb 25, 1851. Sir —X Mr. Thos- ClarA, a settler at Lake George was for a considerable time seriously afflicted with a complaint of the liver, together with the gravel. His medical attendants, after trying all their skill, candidly told him that his case wrs hopeless, and any further efforts useless. In this situation, and when expecting every .day would terminate his ex istence, a friend recommended him to try Hollo wav’s Pills, and as a forlorn hope he did,so; the first dose gave him considerable relief, he therefore persevered in to/ring them according to directions, and is now restored to perfect health. He will feel great pleasure in confirming this statement, or even make an affidavit to the same effect, should it be re quired. (Signed) William Jones, Proprietor of ihe Golburn Herald. N. S. Wales. SAMPSON. San Francisco, Nov. 8, 1853.—n025-31-3m Medical advice.— dr. young, who has become so celebrated for thousands of cures which he has performed on old, chronic, mercurial, syphilitic, and all private diseases, without mercury, is consulted daily at his office, up stairs, No. 226 1-2 Dupont street, between Washington and Jackson, from 9 a. m. to Bp. m. A cure guaranteed, or no pay. Dr. Young has probably had more practice in venereal diseases than any other physician in Cal ifornia. He cures all the most aggravated cases of this disease, and mild ones in from two to live days. The Doctor has, for many years been known as the most eminent and successful physician practis ing in the United States, and, what is more im portant to the patient, he always effects a speedy and permanent cure. Travelers, Seamen, Miners and others who wish to be cured without mercury, hindrance from bus iness, or exposure to friends, should apply to him as soon as possible, and a perfect cure will be guaranteed in all cnreable cases. Recollect the name and number— Dk. YOUNG, 226 1-2 Dupont street, up stairs, a few doors from Washington. Office open from 9 a. M. to 8 p. m. 24-Gm oct7 A CARD — From Dr. Young’s Private Med ical Office—to the afflicted.— ln this age of progress, when science is developing itself in such a manner as to appear almost miraculous, everything in common place is looked upon as not worth notice. In view of this fact Dr. Y'oung (at 226 1-2 Dupont st, has concluded to leave the beaten track hitherto pursued by most scientific physicians, that of waiting for the public to find you out alone.) and publish to the world, as much as may be, his knowledge of the healing art, to let those who may be in need of assistance know where they can find relief without fear of being imposed upon. In continuation of this object, Dr. Young would say, that for the past ten years he lias pursued the practice of medicine in one of the largest cit ies in the United States, with the highest success, and that his standing as a physician is without reproach, having atone time been lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania on venereal diseases, &c. Upon all of these considerations, Dr. Y'oung has confidence in introducing himself to the pub lie, knowing that they will sustain well earned merit. The following arc a few of the many testimo n als which have appeared in the public journals the last few years. [From the Boston Medical Journal.] Although we arc opposed to the system of ad vertising, for good and sufficient reasons, still we deem it but justice to say that Dr. Young is one of the most industrious and indefatigable vota ries of the medical science in the United States. From Professor Jackson. The subscriber is personally acquainted with Dr. Y'oung, and has seen much of his practice, and can bear testimony to his merits as a practi tioner. From the New York Herald. The eminence of this distinguished gentlemen in his profession, and the very extended opportu nities possessed by him for the observation of ve nereal diseases, makes his services invaluable to those afflicted with the above complaints. Office Dupont street, No 226 1-2, upstairs, be tween Washington and Jackson sts. 24-6 m oct7 Open from 9 a.m. to 8 p. m. Sunday included. Dr. YOUNG, No. 226 1-2 Dupont street. — Medical Notice. —ls is Ujghly important that persons afflicted with private complaints, should, on the first appearance of disease, apply to the physician who understands disease in all all its vafions forms and stages, and can at first sight extinguish a slight local inflammation from a bad constitution disease. A very little proper medicine in the first place may save months of sickness. My medicines are composed entirely of vegetable ingredients, have no bad effect on the constitution, and eradicate every particle of dis ease from the system. P. S.—Recent cases of infection cured in from two to five days, without change of diet. 24 6m oct7 A CAUTlON!— Private Medical Office Hundreds of those who have contracted ve nereal diseases are disappointed of a cure by not calling on Dr. Young at first. He will forfeit any sum if he fails to enre any case that may come under his care, no matter how long stand ing or afflicting—such as ulcers, tumors, nodes, hunches, pimples on the face and body, pains in the bones and joints, wakefulness, trembling, copper colored sores, wasting of the bone, ema ciation, loss of appetite, strength agd flesh, sores in the nose and ears, loss of hair, weak eyes, itch ing, humors, &e. &c. Many persons, after being relieved of external appearances of private disease, suppose themselves cured; but, after a few months, find they are troubled with various symptoms which they never had before, and which they find it impossible to relieve. To all who are afflicted in this way, Dr- Young, would particularly recommend the trial of his skill. The symptoms with which you are troub led are caused by venereal taints in your blood, which, sooner or later, will destroy your health and happiness. No person who has ever had an attack of any private complaint, should fail to cansuit Dr. Young, and take a few bottles of his invaluable purifying medicines, as then they can rest assured that their blood is in a perfectly pure and healthy condition, and that every trace of disease is removed from the system. Recent ca ses cured in from two fo five days, without change of diet or hindrance from business or no charge made. DR. YOUNG, Dnpontstreet, No. 226 1-2, up stairs, between Washington and Jackson streets. Office hours from 8 a. ir., to 9p. m.
