Died, in this place, on Wednesday the
- 26th December. Richiard, soij of N4. L.
Griffin, and Ann Griffin, aged 6 mionths
and a few days.
Died, at his residence, near Cambridge,
on Tupsday, the 11th December last,
. Capt. Joseph Griffin, in the 56th year.of
hii-age. The deceased lived during the
greater part of his life, in the nei1ghborhood
in which he died, esteemed and beloved
by all who knew him well. Few men
have had more or warmer personal friends,
than the subject of this notice. le pos.
sessed in an eisinent degree those hiaih
points of character, which commandl the
respect.and secure the confidence orothers.
To the generous and social qualities of
our natire,he united a high sense of honor.
great firmness and decision of purpose.
In all his relations his conduct was exem
plary and irreproachable. The profound
sorrow of a fond and devoted family, and
of a numerous circl- of neighbors and
friends, affords the best commentary on
- his virtues. The deceased had been for
several years a useful member of the Bals
tist Church, and died in the full enjoyment
of that resignation.and peace of minid, fur
nished alone by the religion ofChrist.
