NOTICE OF MASTER'S SALE
STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA
County of Edgefield

Graw Plaintiffs, vs T. R. Hoyt, et
al, Defendant.
Pursuant to a decree in the above
entitled cause, I shall offer for sale
at public outcry to the highest bidder
before the Court House, Town of
Edgefield, County and State afore
said, on Salesday in December, 1919,
the same being the 1st day of the
said month, between the legal hours
of sale the following described real
ty, to wit:
"All that tract or parcel of land
containing five hundred and sixty
three (563) acres, more or less,
bounded on the North by lands of
Jeter Crim estate and Kate Hoyt; on
the East by Jennie Warren and Kate
Hoyt; South by the Estate of Har
mon Gallman, deceased, and F. M.
Warren; on the West by lands of F.
M Warren, Luke Smith and George
Berry and perhaps others, the said
lands known as the Matthew Mc
Graw tract of land. This land lies in
the County and State aforesaid on
the Public Road from Johnston tb
Edgefield, S. C.
This land will be sold first in sev
eral separate tracts, then the entire
tract as a whole, and if the bid for
the whole exceeds the aggregate bids
for the separate tracts, then the sale
to the bidder of the whole shall
stand, but if the aggregate bids for
the separate tracts shall exceed the
bid for the whole tract then the sale
to the respective purchasers of the
separate tracts shall stand. Plats to
the several tracts can be seen at
Master's office.
TERMS OF SALE-CASH.
If purchaser at said sale shall fail
to comply with terms thereof, within
one hour from the time of said sale,
said premises, upon direction of
plaintiff, or his attorney, will be re
sold on said day at the risk of the
former purshaser.
Purchaser to pay for papers and
stamps.

Treasurer's Notice.
The County Treasurer's office will
be open for the purpose of receiving
taxes from the 15th day of October,
1919, to the 15th day of March,
1920. m
All taxes shall be due and payable
between the 15th day of October,
1919, and December 31st, 1919.
That when taxes charged shall not
be paid by December 31. t, 1919, the
County Auditor shall proceed to add
a penalty of one per cent, for Janu
ary, and if taxes are not paid on or
before February 1st, 1P20, the Coun-.
ty Auditor will proceed to add two
per cent, and five per cent, addition
al, from the 1st of March to the 15th
of March, after which time all un
paid taxes will be collected by the
Sheriff.

All the male citizens between the
ages of 21 years and 60 years, ex
cept those exempt by law, are liable
to a poll tax of One Dollar each. A
capital tax of 50 cents each is to be
paid on all dogs.
The law prescribes that all male
citizens between the ages of 18 and
55 years must pay $2.00 commuta
tion tax. No communtation is includ
ed in the property tax. So ask for
