books of Xenophoni's Anabasis, and the first
book of Homer's Itind.
In Mathematics, their knowledge will be
xpected to inelude Arithmetic (including
fractions, vulgar and decimalt ) Extraction of
Square and Cube Roots, Young's Algebra
through Simple~ Equations, and the first three
books of Legendre s Ge ometry.
Geography, both Ancient and Modern,
will be the subject of a rigid examination.
