A Small Fire For Chicago. Between thice and four o'clock this morniug a fire broke out ju the Uuion Central depot building occupied by tho Michigan Central, Illinois Central aud Chicago, Burlington, Burlington und Quiucy Railroads, at the foot of Lake street, and in a short time made such progress as to defy the fire department. Tho buildiug was entirely consumed, The tracks were crowded with cars, and niobt of them were saved, but the men were uuuble to remove a number of fine passonger cars. The depot was a ! frame building put up alter the great firo for temporary purposo. While the fire was in progress, and claimed the at tention of the fire department, the bell Bounded again, and the announcement was made that a large stone frout bloek in State street, betwoeu Van Buren aud Morrison street, was also ou fire. It was fully twenty minutns belore the engines reached the grouud, aud the flames made such progrisc that five buildings were consumed. The los? by this firo was about 8200,000.
