capital punishment, except in the oise of wilful
murder, is hereby abohsned.
Ssa 2. Manslaughter, or the unlawful ki Hin?
of another without malice, express or implied,
shall be punishable by hard labor in the peni?
tentiary, not exceeding thirty years nor less
than two years.
SEO. 3. The crime of burglary shall be pun?
ishable by hard labor in the penitentiary for a
period not exceeding thirty years nor lees than
one. Th J crime of rape and arson shall be
punishable by bard labor in the penitentiary

according to the aggravation of these offences.
