THo Worker to thu Dreamer.
Fling away thy idle fancies,
They but weaken heart and brain
Break the pleasant dreamy fetters
Or romance's shining ohain.
Come out from the misty kingdom
Thou hast lingered there too long;
Come ont, girded as for battle,
Armor true and spirit strong.
Bit no longer by the watots
Hearkening to their murmurs sweet
Dpi while yet the morning ahineth
Then go forth with earnest feetl
Cast away thy idle dreaming;
Work with ardor, willing, brave,
For, oh, dreamerl life is action;
And to act-a duty brave.
Steep and rugged is the mountain,
Yet the faithful toilers say.
When they gain its hallow'd summit,
"Blessed was our weary way."
8o io thee, when thoa hast battled
Bravely, nobly, for tho right
Will thy labor, though a burden,
Beem, with sweet content, bnt light.
Truth and error wage a warfare
Constant in this world ot ours;
We have seed of ohampions fearless
Come from dreamland's rosy bowersl
Cast away thy idle fanoiee;
They will cumber thee in life,
Be henceforth a warrior mighty
Earnest in a glorious atrito!
How AMERICANS TRAVEL.-The follow?
ing ia taken from the private letter of a
Oinoinnatian abroad: We left Monday
morning by the Mt. Oonis Tunnel, with
watches all in hand. There was a dis?
pute whether it took twenty-seven or
twenty-eight minutes. It was Ighted
every mile; but juBt as we entered we
had begun conversation with a party
from B. They amused me so niuo h that
I forgot to think how long the tunnel
waa going to be. This party sailed in a
chip by way of Fayal to Lisbon, but did
not go ashore. Some one said there waa
nothing to see. Stopped at Gibraltar,
bot did not land there, for an English?
man who had spent three months there
told them it was a dull plaae. Came to
Leghorn. Did not go to Borne for fear
of a fever. The pioture galleries in Flo?
rence were in such a muddle that they
oonld not tell one pioture from another.
Indeed, traveling was a bore. There
was no country like America, and the
lady had but one pleasant idea connect?
ed with Europe, and that was shopping.
She was going to.buy "lots of things" in
Paris, and her mind was taken np with
the size of the trunks required for the
purchases.
The topography of Vesuvius is report?
ed to be completely ohanged since the
eruption. A correspondent, writing
from Naples, says: "It is as though an
earthquake had altered everything.
Hills have .appeared where, but a few
days ago, stones stood for visitors to rest
npon. Precipices have been formed
which almost prevent further advanoe.
All is altered; the very shape of the
mountain has lost its well-known out?
lines, and the view is appalling."

NATT ANS' CRYSTAL DI8C0VERY
FOR THE BAIR,
APERFECTLY clear preparation in one
bottle, as easily applied as water, for re?
storing to Gray Hair its natnral color and
youthful appearance; to eradicate and pre?
vent dendron; to promote the growth of the
Baby and stop its falling ont. IT IS ENTIHELY
HAL?LRSS and porfootly free from any poison?
ous1 substance, and will therefore take the
{'iaoo of all the dirty and unpleasant prepara
lons now in use. Nnmerous testimonials
have been sent ns from many of our most
prominent oitizens. In everything in wbioh
?ho articles now in use are objectionable,
Crystal Disoovory is perfect. It ls warranted
to contain neither Sugar of Lead, Sulphur or
Nitrate of Silver. It does not soil the clothes
or scalp, is agreeably perfumed and makes
one of the nest dressings for the Hair in use.
It restores the oolor or the Hair "more per?
fect and uniformly than any other prepara?
tion," and always doeB so in from threo to ton
days, virtually feeding the roots of the Hair
with all the nourishing qualities necessary to
its growth and healthy condition; it restores
the deoayed and induces a new growth of the
Hair more positively than anything else. The
application of this wonderful discovery also
produoes a pleasant and cooling effect on the
scalp, and gives the Hair a pleasing and ele?
gant ?ppearanoe.
We oall especial attention to tho fact that a
limited number of amsll trial bottles can bo
had by those wishing to try it. Yon will no
tico that in pursuing this ooaree, our aim is
to convince by the aotnal merits of the article,

diaeaae, and with assurance, founded on
proof, that no harm can arise from its uso in
any quantity.
That which protects from or prevents this
disorder must be of immense Bervico in the
communities where it prevails. 1'revention |
is better than euro, for tho patient escapes
tho risk which he must run in violent attacks
of this baleful distemper. This "CUBE" ex?
pels the miasmatio poison of FEVER AND
AOUE from the system, and provento tho de?
velopment of the diaoaso, if takon on tho
first approach of its premonitory symptoms.
It is not only the beat remedy ovor yet disco?
vered for this class of complaints, but also
the cheapest. Tho large quantity we supply
for a dollar brings it witbin the roach of
everybody; and in bilious districts, whore
FEVER AND AOUE prevails, everybody should
have it, and uso it freely, both for euro and
protection. It ia hoped this prico will place
it within the reach of all-thu poor as well as
the rich. A groat superiority of this remedy
over any other ever discovered for tho apcedy
and certain cure of Intermittents ?B, that it
contains no Qninine or mineral; consequently
it produces no quinism or other injurious of?
fsets whatever upon the constitution. Those
cured by it are loft as healthy as if they had
never had tho disease.
Fovor ana Ague is not alono tho conse?
quence of the miasmatic poison. A great
variety of disorders arise from its irritation,
among wbieh are Neuralgia, Rheumatism,
Qout, Headache. Blindness, Toothache, Ear?
ache, Catarrh, Asthma, Palpitation, Painful
Affection of the Spleen, Hysterics, Pain in the
BowelB, Oolio, Paralysis, and derangement of
the 8tomaoh, all of which, when originating
in this cause, put on tho intermittent type, or
become periodical. Thie "CUBE" expels the
poison from the blood, and consequently cures
them all alike. It is an invaluable protection
to immigrants and persons traveling or tem
?orarily residing in the malarious dist riet?,
f taken occasionally or daily while exposed
to the infection, that will be oxcroted from the
system, and cannot accumulato in sufficient
quantity to ripen into dieeaeo. Heneo it is
even more valuable for protection than cure;
and few will ever suffer from Intermittents if
they avail themselves of the protoction th's
remedy affords.
For Liver Complaints, arising from tor?
pidity of the Liver, it is an excellent remedy,
stimulating the Livor into healthy activity,
and producing many truly remarkable cures,
whero other medicines fail.
