Only think of it everj fanner his own sugar-maker! In this connection, we wish to introdoce une extracts from a private letter, received from a gentleman in Fremont County, in tliis State. Our correspondent says, that ''wishing to know from experiment, wheth er what was being published in respect to the Sorghum, was exaggerated, I procured some seed. It has done well. I have not sufficient to be at the expense of a press this season, but I experimented with the cane, from time to time, expressing the juice as best 1 could, with a contrivance of my own. I nm now quite satisfied that the facts, so far as 1 have seen them, aro not over-stated. I have made some of the best Syrup that 1 i* tasted, equal to to the golden syrup. 1 have not yet tried to make sugar, though 1 jel quite satisfied that it can be made. If I have time, I shall make the experiment. It has proved suc cessful in other places, so doubtless will and i tniiik "superior here. Our correspondent further says, that he has a quantity of seed that he can spare to those wishing to try the experiment, lie Farmers of Western Iowa, this is a sub ject in which you all ought to be deeply in terested. werv farmer can manufacture his own su-1 S»r st comparatively trilling expense, thu# rrficving himself of a grievous burden in tilt way of Sugnr nnd Molasses bills.
