Thomas Moore, jr., and two other workmen, while excavating for pipe connec tions in Market Square, in Ches ter, Pa., Thursday morning, un earthed a small preserving jar, con containing gold and silver Spanish coin, estimated to be worth at least $150. Some of the coin bore the date of 1800 and some of it a later date. A a old market house, erected in the last century, stood on the site where the money was found, and was torn down in 1857. It is thought the' money was buried by one of the marketmen. PHOSPHATE DEAL. The new Plant System passenger depot is ready for occupancy, and all trains wilP arrive and leave from this point, beginning with some day about the middle of next week. The Florida Southern track is also complete, independent of putting down the switch in front of the de pot. Arentz & Co. are apparently in the railroad building business. Their latest venture is the build ing of a road from their mines in the western part of this county to Lake Butler, a ' distance of about thirty-five miles. B. Commencing Friday morning, Nov, 1st, all passenger and freight trains on the S. S. O. & G. Ry will leave Florida Southern depots. Fuller of Jacksonville, visited Mrs. Burt at Homosassa two days after the fire, and after thoroughly in vestigating the loss, paid the claim of $1740 in five days after the fire. Mrs. Burt's loss was fully $4000 She spoke very highly of the satisfactory manner in which Messrs. Davis and Fuller settled this generally tardy business.
