Yesterdays Fire
At 3 oclock yesterday after
noon fire was discovered in the
kitchen roof of the house occu
pied by H W Chandler in the
third ward The fire depart
ment quickly responded to the
alarm and extinguished the
blaze but to do so demolished one
side oT the roof The water did
more damage than the fire But
for the quick work of the firemen I
cold as it was the house which
is a large one would have been
