What is be lieved to have been an attempt to kill Gov. John K. Tener, of Pennsylvania, was discovered at Charleroi, Ta., yes terday. An ingeniously constructed infernal machine containing power, a match, piece of steel, and a small piece of paper, inscribed, "drive the republi can bosses out," was sent to the gov ernor, and now is in the hands of the United States postal authorities. The first revolt that has occurred in Mexico broke out yesterday Nicolas in the state of Querataro, where Maximilian met his final defeat. The Reyistas were repulsed by soldiers of Madero. The loss was heavy on both sides. Forty rebels were taken prisoners, wounded. The Reyistas are preparing to send an emissary to Washington, as Madero did a year ago. and Jose Leon del Valle has been selected.
