Orange Springs, May 2. Mr. and
Mrs. Roloff, of New York City, have
arrived and will soon build a house
on their farm near the Springs.
Mr. F. H. Pedrlck Is a business vis
itor to Palatka this week.
Miss Ruth and Mr. Carlton Ivin, of
Ocala spent Saturday and Sunday and
with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs.
R. A. Carlton. They were accompan
ied by Miss Mamie Sheperd, of Ocala.
Mr. G. H. Sistrunk and Mr. J. J. Day,
of Ft. McCoy were registered at the
Porter House last Friday.
Mr. George Adams of West Haven,
Con., is a home-seeker who arrived
last week and is well pleased with
Florida.
Mr. W. II. Massey was a business
visitor to Jacksonville, the first of the
week.
Mr. M. Judge, of Philadelphia, Pa..
Is a visitor here looking over some
real estate and is very much pleased. .
Mr. James F. Marsh has returned to
Jacksonville. His father, Mr. L. B.
Marsh came up from Ft. McCoy and
accompanied him, also Messrs. Drake
and Miller. ' They have commenced
grading the Ocala Northern from Pa
latka to Jacksonville.
Mr. Richard Nealey and Mr. S. C.
Duncan, t of McGill, Nevada, were vis
itors to our burg last week.
Mr. A. E. Kitching, of Leesburg, was
calling on the merchants here last
Thursday. He was a guest of the Por
ter House.
Mrs. L. B. Marsh and Mrs. R. A.
Hogan, of Ft. McCoy were visiting here!
last Wednesday.
Mr. J. H. La Rue and Mr. Magaw
were here Tuesday and were the proud
owners of a fine ten pound trout. They
landed him from, a pretty lake nearby.
There have been quite a number of
large fish brought In recently.
Mr. R. E. Lansford, of Ocala, was
here Monday. He came up and closed
a deal for his brother, Mr. A. M. Lans
ford, for a nice organ for the Method
dist church.
Dr. G. B. Parramore has lumber on
the ground for building some rooms
to his dwelling.
Mr. Fred Vogt who has been suffer
ing with his hand is reported Improv
ing. He came very near having blood
poison.
Mr. Verlinda Hall' has been quite
sick 'but is. much better today.
. The primary" passed off quietly,
everybody hoping his favorite candi
date would win.

TERRIFIC WISD IX TEXAS.
Laredo, Texas, May 3. Three young
women and a baby were killed in a
cyclonenorth of Laredo early last
night, according to police reports. A
score of persons were more or less
seriously injured, and a number of
farm houses were destroyed. A spe
cial train with surgeons has gone to
the scene, but probably will not re
turn before morning.
Wire communication with the storm
swept district is Interrupted and de
tails are few. The most serious ef
fects of the storm were felt northeast
in the direction of the mining town
of Minerva and through the great
onion growing territory.
