The pro gram was conducted by Sue Rose and Betty Sprague. The Martha Circle were hostesses and served dainty refreshments. Miss Nellie Wright was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gatbs in Mesopotamia from Christmas morning until Satur day. Mrs. Senia Kiviniemi, Mr. and Mrs. K. G. Kiviniemi and family and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Preisler and family were Christ mas guests of Mr. and Mrs. Tauno Kiviniemi in Huntsburg. Mr. and Mrs. William Weber and daughter, Nancy, were Christmas dinner guests of Mr. and Robert Stewart in Cleve land and supper guests of Mr. Weber's father and sister and family. C. J. Lorson and Mr. and Mrs Alex Cseh were Christmas guests of Mr. and Mrs. Max Thrasher in Chardon. Sunday they spent with relatives in Akron. Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Essenwine and family spent Christmas with Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hickman and family in Her manville. from Mr. and Mrs. Earl Swaney i were Christmas guests of rela tives in Cleveland. Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Shetler left Christmas morning follow ing a family breakfast at the home of Mrs. Susan Rose, for a vacation trip t6 Florida. Mr. and Mrs. James Swonger spent Christmas with Mr. and I Mrs. Elmer McHugh and fam-1 ily in Farmington and Friday I with Mr. and Mrs. Owen Ging-1 rich in Claridon. Harvey Mumaw spent Christ-1 mas and the weekend with his i daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Richard McKuskie in I Canton. Mr and Mrs. Herbert Craig and family^ and mother, Mrs. i Ruth Craig, were Christmas guests of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Craig and family Johnston. Carolyn Craig returned home with her uncle and family and stayed until Sunday when her parents spent the day at the Herbert Craig home. Mr. and Mrs. F. R. McGurer i entertained a family Christmas party. Those attending were Mr. and Mrs. Howard Boss and family of Chesterland, Mr. and Mrs. Thodore Hill and family of Fowler’s Mills, Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Gibbs, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Gibbs and son, Wilmer Gibbs, Mr. and Mrs. Nelson McGurer and children of Mid dlefield. Miss Louise Howell spent Christmas with her brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Howell in Massillon, returning Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Brown and family of Enon, Mr. and Mrs. Donald McClead and fam ily of Warren, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Blackford spent Christ mas with Mr. and Mrs. P. C. Brown. Phillip Halstead arrived Sun day from Weeksville, N. C., where he is stationed, to spend a week with his mother, Mrs. Bbrtha Halstead. Other guests in Mrs. Halstead’s home Sunday were Mis Margaret Kenier nf1 Middlefield and Miss Shirley! Estep of Mesopotamia. Mr. and Mrs. John Leininger and daughter, Elizabeth Jane, of Washington, D. C., are spend ing the holidays with Mrs. Leininger’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lough G. Johnson, and Cleveland relatives. Mr. Alton Walker of Warren was a Christmas afternoon guest in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Caslow. Mrs. B. C. Tiffany, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Gooding of Middle field and Mrs. George Carlton of Pittsburgh were Christmas dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Carlton. Mrs. Eli Troyer and infant daughter returned home Satur day from Corey hospital, Char don. Mr. and Mrs. M. M. In the afternoon, they all called on Mr. Schwan who is being cared for in the Dora Ann Nursing home in Mantua. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Cunning ham and daughter, Mrs. Pauline Cunningham, and Mrs. Florence Hopkins were Christmas guests of Misses Mabel and Marie Young. Mr. and Mrs. O. L. Hopkins were Christmas day guests of their son and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Hopkins in Park man. Mr. and Mrs. Baker Harris and family of Hiram, spent the day with his father, Jasper Harris. Tuesday guests in the O. L. Hopkins home were Mrs. Charles Harris and Mrs. Rich ard Laid and children of Gar rettsville and Mrs. Frank Tins del of Brecksville. Mr. and Mrs. M. N. Mr. and Mrs. Nick Marcu were Christmas dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Nye in Mesopotamia. Betty May, a Senior at An drew’s school in Willoughby, and her sister, Nancy, who is employed in Cleveland, are spending a few days with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter May. Sunday guests in the Walter May home were Mr and Mrs. Horace Greenaway and family of Willoughby and Mrs. Helen Ricky of Cleveland. The Misses May and Fay McClurg of Cleveland, Mr. and Mrs. Ray McClurg and son spent Christmas with their par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Mc Clurg and daughter, Jean. Chardon Metal Products took 3 from & V Recreation. It was 3 to 1 in favor of Culli gan’s over Leisy’s. Finch rolled 4 from Farinacci and Son. Chapman Tile scored 3 to Hi Life s 1 point, and Chardon Auto Parts managed 1-2 point to Chardon Rubber’s 3 1-2. In the men’s league, Ji.n Lucas had the big score, a 211 230-167 for a 608 series. Moss Farm Dairy tallied add 4 over Hendrickson Electric and Ed Pulsifier made 225. Tee Pee Motors shot 4 from Finch Cleaners. Between Vet’s Beverage Store and Suchdaie Inn it was George Kovitch 203, Ev Hendrickson 220, and Vet’s all 4 points. Strong Milk Cartage marked all 4 from Chardon Springs, vicinity. Friends will be re ceived from 2 to 5 and from 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 4, 1953. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Adams entertained at Christmas dinner, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Gibbs and Mr. Will Adams.
