Ruth Boldon and this scribe aren’t mentioning I scores, but they did help to hang the sign fashioned by Al ice Armstrong. It reads MOV ED! Chardon Metal Products drop ped 3 to Leisy’s. Bitty Nesbitt bowled 165. Hi-Life took 3, from Farinacci Construction. Char don Rubber managed 1 point leaving B&V with 3. Bill Opper’s nosebleed kept him from tally ing a real big one. After six kisses in the corner, his nose got in the way of some more marks, leaving him a 209. Bill’s beaming anyway. PARKMAN News by Mrs. Junior Komandt Women’s Fellowship Meet The Women’s Fellowship will hold their regular monthly meet ing on Monday evening, Feb ruary 23. i Family Nite Supper There will be a Family Nite supper on Thursday, February 26, at 6 p.m. It will be in the form of a pot-luck supper, after which there will be a short program in charge of Mrs. Thelma Ferry. Holds Instruction Night Instructions were given when Phoenix Chapter 329 held its last regular meeting, February 10. Worthy Matron Cathryn Moore and Worthy Patron Chester Warner presided in the East. A committee was appointed to obtain information on cab inets suitable for the prepara tion room. The Chapter voted to contribute $5.00 to the Heart Fund of the Greater Cleveland Association, with which Geauga county is now affiliated. An nouncement was made concern ing the flood relief program, and it was announced that con tributions of either money or clothing would be accepted at Hopkins Dept, store. The next meeting will be held Tuesday, Feb. 24. P. T. A. Meets Parkman P. T. A. held their regular meeting on Thursday, Feb. 12. Twenty members and one visitor were present. Hazel Soltis, president, presided over the meeting during which there was a great deal of discussion on the program of the annual crowning of the queen as well as a dance, with various booths. Open house is to be planned for the month of April in con nection with the P.T.A. meet ing. At tfiis time the grades will exhibit, in their rooms, work that has been ddne dur ing the year. The nominating committee was voted upon with the fol lowing persons serving: chair men, Mr. Mayer, Mrs. Rena Nelson, Mrs. Joan Shipman, Mr. Roger Evans, Mr. Frank Handsel. The committee is asked to report at the next meeting. Following the meeting re freshments were served by the committee with Mrs. Julia Sol tis in charge. World’s Day of Prayer The Women’s Fellowship of Parkman will accept the invi tation of the Burton Fellowship to celebrate the World Day of Prayer with them. This event will be celebrated Friday, Feb ruary 20, at the Burton Con gregational church at 2 p.m. Bake Sale There will be a bake sale Saturday, the 21st, at George’s store, sponsored by the Wom en’s Fellowship. It will be held between 3 and 7 p.m., and all who are contributing to the sale are asked to have their donations in by 2:30 p.m. Sponsor Basketball Game Friendship Circle will spon sor a basketball game Saturday, February 21, in the school gym. There will be a women’s game, Parkman vs. Troy and the men’s game will be St. Ed ward’s 'vs. Congregational church. Refreshments will be on sale at the game. Admission 10 and 25 cents.
