Ohio, author izing the issuing of bonds in antici pation: of tho collection of special as sessments for the construction of a local sewer in and along Chestnut! street, from Edgewood avenue to Locust street Section 1. Be in ordained by the Council of the City of Akron, Ohio, two-thirds of all the members elected thereto concurring, that the Mayor hnd Clerk of said city, in the manner pro vided by chapter two, of division nine, of title twelve, of part first, of tho Revised Statutes of Ohio, be and they are hereby authorized and empow ered to issue the bonds of said city for tho purpose of providing a fund for the Immediate payment of the cost and expense of constructing a local sewer in and along Chestnut street from Edgewood avenue to Locust street,. to the amount of $2000 and in the de nominations and payable at the times following, to-wlt: 2 bonds of $500, payable in 1 year from date. 2 bonds of $500, payable In 2 years from date. 1 bond of $500, payable in three years from date. 4 bonds of $100, payable in three years from date. Sec. 2. That the said bonds shall be dated November 20, 1002; shall exprjs upon their face the name of the sewer and the purpose of their Issue; shall cite tho State law and the City ordinance authorizing their issue; shall bear a rate of interest not exceeding 5 per cent per annum payable semi annually; shall be signed by the Mayor and City Clerk and shall have affixed thereto the corporation seal of the Olty of Akron; shall have interest coupons attached duly signed by the City Clerk, and Bhall bo payable, both principal and interest at the National Park Bank, New York City, and shall be sold under tho direction of tho Conv mltteo on Finance of the City Coun cil, at not less than their par value. Sec. 3. That upon the .sale of said bonds, the proceeds thereof shall be placed In tho city treasury, and said assessments and all portions thereof when collected, shall be applied to the payment of said bonds and Interest thereon ns the same shall become due, and to no other purpose whatsoever. Sec. 4. That the faith and credit of tho City of Akron are hereby pledged for the payment of both prinVpal nnd interest of said bonds at maturity. Sec. 5.
