Harvout's old home farm burned to the ground last Tuesday. It is a total loss to Mr. Harvoutas there was no Insurance. Mr. Styler who lived there succeeded in saving their goods, all bnt a bed. Al Manison has been very sick with the grip. Mrs. Monison is in a very critical condition. Mrs. Chas. Druahall Is very ill with pneumonia. &ir. Lewis Comminirs family have all been treated to the grip. Frozen fingers toes and chilled noses an new fashionable. P. W. Frink Is considerably better, His son, E. P. Friuk and family of Wooe ter, and Mrs. Jennie Clark were home to see him last week. A brakeman was knocked over by caboose and his spine injured last Wed nesday. Be was taken to Akron in the evening. The Justice boys of New London buzzed on an estimate of 70 cords of wood for Cowie A Backus last Friday. While moving their engine the crown Sheet broke. Giles Segar of Rochester repaired the damage. Mr. and Mrs. John Cowie were in New London, Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Solomon Phillips of Rochester called on Zllpha Battle last Thursday. Mrs. C. Fish of White Fox visited her lister, Mrs. J. Backus, last week. Steve Day and family of Clarksfleld visited his brother, D. R. Day, Sunday. About seventy persons attended a dance at J. S. Hall's, Tuesday night. All had a good time. Sage, who have teen sick with the grip are better. Mr. Gripp Is making himself at home In this vicinity. Mrs. Betsy Peet died at the home of her daughter in Sullivan, February 12, 1899. Loos, will give some fine cornet selos. The entertain- ment is for the purpose of paying .for new Bcenery, which is now in place, and I very fine and a great addition to ur hall. Every public spirited citizens should be there together with his aunts, uncles and cousins and everyone else he can bring or pursuade to come.
